    i have done the FHC and fixed the issue of rim movement.the trick is .....don't fix it. i will elaborate, as the canopy gets cold it gets smaller and there for lifts up on the forward most corners. if there is a hinge at this spot the canopy will still get smaller and will still pull up but not where the hinges are, but evey where else will lift, but in my 30 deg test all i found was the gap at the rear was wider, and that's a good thing. so IMO, if you keep the front stock and do the fhc you'll be in good shape.

    lots have removed, and lot wish they had. some have reinforced the cs118 i have made mine removable but still don't like how weak 118 is. the rear 3/4 arm is removable on mine and i think that's stock, although i did follow a web site that had some cool lips that i copied.

    you hit on some very good points.and i have seen many (2) bail from the FHC. so before i go on................ ................bail............... if you want to fly soon i ran in to many things, a fun one was after the hinging and water seals were done and it was time to do the shock (4 try=4 months) , i had a fool prof set up and it worked Gr8 but when i closed the canopy and it got warm out, the shocks closed the gap at the t/b and the dam thing got stuck closed so in the trash it all went. but on the good side it all works good now and I'm happy to help others do the same

    here is a shot of the front, as you can see it still has the same curve as nat wanted. there will be less lifting of the corners if there are none if you keep the curve be sure to slant the gap and sand to a 1/8" i did my gap 3 times as it post cured (just the micro)

    mine works fine but my widow is cut sq to the longs and there for looks good to the cutyou must have a string going from hinge pivit to your corner/tb. then mark the string and try to raze it up with out hitting the tb if your hing in lower than your t/b joint, then it will clear:p mine took me over a year, you still at the easy part:irked: look at my cross over for my latch try to get lynn to show you his lock(way cooler then mine)

    the best way is to cut out the bad spot and overlap a patch. if you try to re-glue it must be sanded first or it wont stick i have them same as you, and i wont fix them untill much later so much is cut or changed from were you are now. 50% of your bobo's mite be on the floor

    just the hard plate, nothing eles was done,if it was a year ago i'd jump at it. now i jst want to get it done.after looking at jacks web and all that whent in to the install to io540 i think i'l save the 1000 and the year laber and lose the 6 knots (10 if you own them)

    there is just the gear, no wheels, no pump. you will need to buy the buckit and the pump from jd. all i need is the rear bow for a cozy shipping shold off set it self ps, you could get the pump from your old merk outdrive(just thinking)
