David Clifford
Looks like the Canard Aviation Forum is down. Anyone know if today is the day of its demise?
mplafleur
Mike said there was too much bickering and arguing so he asked Dan to turn it off. Don't know what exactly will happen. He may find another server to host it, and John may also continue it. It looked just fine last night. I didn't have any problem with any of the posts. I didn't look this morning. Remi Khu
That's not surprising since it's usually hurts when the truth is presented. He's merely shutting it down to avoid further bad press... just another form of censorship. Oh well...c'est la vie. CBarber
What a load of garbage. A few can't play well together so the entire site is shut down to the detriment of all those who can get along and just ignored or were amused by the absurdity. Geeeeeeesh. Steve Innova
I couldn't care less about whatever imagined controversy or slights occured. What I do know is that I posted a lot of info on that site, others posted a lot info, and poof -- someone gets their panties in a bunch and all that just dissappears. I want access to those old postings, but I don't think I'll participate there again.

I believe that all the old posts will be on the new server when its up and running,,,at least thats the impression I got. At this point,,,why bother. I see a lot of names I recognize from the Canard Aviation Forum from years past that left a long time ago and are here.
mplafleur
That's the impression I got too, that the old forum will be resurrected on a new server. Quote Mike LaFLeur - Cozy MkIV #1155N68ML

Jon Matcho
I am actually quite happy it's back online, and finally a proper domain name! My only complaint is that it sorts before the Canard Zone. I appreciate the offer to plug, but don't feel obligated. Eventually someone will refer here and vice versa. Just keep showing up here once in a while is all I can ask. Enjoy! Nathan Gifford
BTW, it looks like the Wiki is going to be its own separate entity.
