  1. Thanks. I have used them on projects in the past, but more expensive devices with the PWM settings external. I'll take a look at those.
  2. Looks good Kent. Does the PWM board you are using have the frequency output trim on the board?

  4. Good story's Kent. I remember the helicopter on the WH lawn. First time I think I've ever read about Pard's push. Those (you) guys are special...
  5. Good news Kent! Happy to hear you have sold it. California is going to have a very nice aircraft.
  6. I like the use of the circuit boards. Unique anyway.
  7. FB seems worthless to me. My wife has an account to share pics etc with friends and family. For that, OK. I've gone through all the old websites related to canards. Even if I never build I still learn and that is a good thing.
  8. Al, click on the link in his signature. http://www.canardspeed.com/
  9. While I'm far short of anything remotely expert, I think you're missing the balance of lift provided by the main wing and canard. Changing one requires changing the other, and in the same proportion.
  10. " I wish I had a site nearby." How nearby? http://piedmontsoaring.net/ From my home in Huntersville, just short of an hour...
  11. "I have been watching this fellow's posts lately on Youtube." Me too. Found them a few months back. Extraordinary. Must be nice to live so close to mountain lift.
  12. November is a beauty. Thanks!
  13. I sat in a EZ recently, report here: http://www.canardzone.com/forum/topic/32064-long-ez-fit-for-taller-people/ Plenty of width IMO.
  14. OK, new glider today, Super Blanik. Fit is OK as well. Went up twice, landed the bird on the 2nd trip. I have a long way to go...
  15. Hello Kent, I flew in a grob G103, lots of room believe it or not. Just headed out the door this morning for lesson two. That looks like a nice place to fly out of. I'm rather jealous of the places located where there is lots of wave lift. Last weekend a couple of Schweizer 1-26's went up and stayed up over 2 hours each in thermals. Low tech, but lightweight, they stay up rather easily. I think what you heard is called Flarm, a collision avoidance system. Barry
  16. Since visiting with Kent (http://www.canardzone.com/forum/topic/32061-a-good-morning/) I've been rather busy and had little extra time. I finally managed to get up in a sailplane yesterday. I believe I was 19 the last time I flew in a glider, which would be 45 years ago. It was fantastic. So, I'll pursue getting a glider rating to prepare for what comes later and as a hobby in itself. I really appreciate the Canard Zone, just reading here I've learned a great deal.
  17. Jess, I saw this and thought I would point you at my comments about sitting in an EZ, but Kent beat me too it. The Ez has a lot of room, IMO. I've not started a build but plan to do so. The open EZ drawings are in this thread, read everything as there are a couple minor issues with 2 or 3 pages, nothing that is a cause for concern: http://www.canardzone.com/forum/topic/16835-introducing-the-open-ez-tandem-a-2-place-tandem-canard/ The construction manual can be downloaded here: http://www.aryjglantz.com/p/documents.html?m=0 The Canard Pusher newsletter with plans updates are in many places: http://www.ez.org/t/canard-pusher Good luck, I've spent hours reading and studying the plans. Many blogs for help, two of the current projects undergoing builds are as follows: http://longezproject.blogspot.com/ http://www.aryjglantz.com/p/blog-page.html?m=0 Not much if any problem to figure out how to build.
  18. Probably a good deal, but it sure makes your EZ look really good pricewise...
  19. Beautiful picture Erlend. Thanks!
  20. Thanks for the link, interesting, not a site that I had stumbled across yet. Just FYI, I went up to a sailplane club this afternoon, spoke to a couple people. I knew it would be too late to fly today when I went. I'll go back next weekend and weather permitting get up in the air.
  21. Thanks, awesome flight.
