  5. Very nice paint job. Wish I had that kind of artistic ability.
  6. I will take one!!!! HOW MUCH and where do I send the money?
  7. Kerry Fritz lives in Lancaster not far from you. He flys a Long EZ and Im sure he can help you. Send me a private message and I will contact him for you.
  8. Thats what makes his paint job so cool an optical illusion as if the sticker is falling off.
  9. Way cool. One question...what took so long to take your first flight? NICE PAINT JOB!!!!
  10. Cool avatar Good luck with your plane....post some pics!!!!
  11. I finally got the nose that I always wanted. After using templates from Steve Volvosek I carved out a nose that I think came out pretty darn good. The nose is the only part of the plane that is completely "free hand" per plans. For some people this task is easy but for some, including me, it is a difficult time consuming task. Here is my rendition of the Long EZ nose......
  12. YES...what Chrissi said...Dennis makes the best parts...PERIOD!!!!
  13. I used the Dave Lind copy of a copy template and made my nose. As you can see from this picture it took me a couple of times to get it right. This part of the plane is the only part that is totally free hand. And for some people it only takes one time to get it right...for me it took 4 times to get the right shape. WELL...I am happy, (finally ) with this result.
  14. Does anyone have a copy of these plans? OR...have the templates for the metal parts? THanks, $$
  15. Steve, I will buy it from you. I sent you a private message with my address for shipping. Let me know where to send the check. Tom McCormick
  16. During the past 2 weeks I have been in the "hangar" slapping epoxy around. I glassed the outside of my nose and canopy. Take a look at the picture when I placed the my canard on. Its starting look like something I am off to RR!!!!

  19. SULLY......SUPER COOL. I cant wait to get where your at.
  20. This is a good time to switch to a electric retract system. There are 2 systems out there at this time. Jack Wilhelmsin eznoselift.com and Steve Wrights gear (I think he sold his business but the product is still in production)
  21. I bought one too. I really like the bearings and the forked handles. Everyone needs to buy one!!!!
  22. I ordered these baby's from the Cozy Girrls aka CG PARTS. In case you don't know what they do...they are used to keep the air out of the front of the airplane by offsetting the roll of the elevator when the elevator travels in the down position. The center of the "Torque Tube Offsets" are configred to roll in one symetrical position. With that you can build around the center of the torque tube to block out the cold air when flying at high altitude or winter time. Go to the canard forums for more info on this topic.
  23. I ordered from the Cozy Girls a custom made Mazda Rotary Motor mount and it arrived today. YIPPPPEEE. The mount is made of 3 pieces...the tubular mount, and 2 plates one attaches to the bottom of the engine and the other is perpendicular and is the mount for the Rotary Aviation Re-drive (on order). If you are going to do the 13B in your plane I recommend the Cozy Girls Mount. There has been a lot of time invested in developement for the mount to make sure it fits and functions properly. Thanks Chrissi!!!!!
  24. Thanks everybody...its fun sharing info amongst builders. I dont get the same feedback from my kids when I say "How does the nose look on my airplane?" then I do from you guys. They would say "When we going home?" LOL.. Jack...your funny. I am going to trim those edges with YOUR COOL CUTTER I borrowed. Edge....pour foam goes everywhere. It expands 10 times from the liquid form. I like it cause its so EZ to sand and shape. I wrote in an email earlier: On a side note...I bought a Mazda 13B last year on ebay for 350.00. I just wanted to learn about the engine and take it apart and tinker. After talking to Tracy Crook at Sun n Fun and described the engine to him he says that I got a gem of a motor. He wanted me to check out the exhaust ports for a certain configuration and if it was that configuration it is has the high compression rotors which are necessary for normal aspirated fuel injection. I am not going with the turbo which needs the low compression rotors. I am in business with this engine and just saved thousands on the engine. WAHOOOO.
