What great news, Jerry. I'll bet you have a smile a mile wide right now. Good for you!!! Kraig P.S. Now how about a report.
  2. Edge, Step away from the computer and go back to working on your wings. Kraig
  3. With the ME pumps, you do test and adjust the weight of the product that comes thru. I have re-calibrated mine a few times over the years, very minute adjustments have ever been needed, but it is the weight you are adjusting to, not the volume. Kraig
  4. I love the last sentence below the pictures.... "Look for some very exciting developments from the Rutans in the months ahead." What an understatement!!! Kraig

    Occupation

Now there is a job I could get into! I would love a job like that, except I probably would have seperation anxiety when it was time to let them go. I have been a carpenter for 23 years, and been self employed for the past 15 of them, and I too never hate going to work. I guess that is the important thing. Kraig
  6. I had a feeling you were a member. A concourse is a great bike for it. Two of my SS rides were only 200 miles shy of a Bun Burner Gold ride, I even had about 5 hours left on the clock, but it just was'nt in the plan. I want to do one next summer just to have it. Also the Border to Border 50 would be nice, Mexico to Canada. Alas, too many hobbies, not near enough time. I can't imagine how I found time to drink all those years ago. Kraig
  7. Thats 1122.5 miles by road. Why thats just a nice 20 hour "Saddle Sore" ride for us Iron Butt members. I've done three of them. But granted, we are a bit of an odd bunch. PS I am building my Cozy so I won't have to do that sort of riding unless I want to. Kraig
  8. "Ooger out", Excellent term!, I like it! Kraig
  9. Amen to you TMann, my thoughts exactly. I don't have much money, but I am better off than most. I am building a cool plane, I know how to scuba dive, I ride both on and off road motorcycles, I have owned my own business for over 16 years, I have a beautiful wife and great kids.........Pretty wealthy ideed I would say!!! I have heard the saying: "People think I am rich because I own an airplane, truth is I am poor because I own an airplane." This is one of the many reasons I am building one. Kraig
  10. .....I need one for my current project. Kraig
  11. agree, I mean whats the point? Why not just go out and buy a nice big expensive certified plane. You certainly won't be fooling anyone on the ramp at a fly-in. There are builders and there are flyers. The difference is that some builders will become flyers of their craft and craftsmanship. I am under no illusion that it might be impossible to fly my completed Cozy the same number of hours as it will take to build. It does not deter me in the least. I really do enjoy building. And one day, when I am blissfully riding the sky's in it, I will feel even that much more pride in knowing that I had the ability and talents to have created it. Kraig
  12. I am not saying to ignore those five books, but you will learn more reading the first two chapters and then DOING chapter three. The experience and fun you will have will go much farther than the time it will take you to read the books. You will have plenty of time to read later, its time now to start building. You will learn much more by doing, as opposed to just reading. Kraig
  13. As much as I can. Here's a few pics of my nose. Kraig
  14. This is as new a one as I have. The prices were good in Jan. of '08 when I ordered a strut and nose cone. Kraig
  15. Richard, I am interested in the brakes. Contact me at 505-280-5880 or kellis103@comcast.net Thanks, Kraig
