Jon Matcho
That is absolutely fantastic. My personal takeaways: An absolute full day is required even after everything is jigged up and ready to go. One person can do this. The smaller the workshop, the more important it is to be well-organiced. A trash bin can be used as a cloth table. I wonder what epoxy system is being used where the fumes need to be filtered. I assume that mask is more than a particle filter. Marc Zeitlin
An absolute full day is required even after everything is jigged up and ready to go. IIRC, my wing skin layups were approximately 11 hours, start to finish. I wonder what epoxy system is being used where the fumes need to be filtered. I assume that mask is more than a particle filter. All of them. Breath the vapors from ANY of the epoxy systems long enough and you can have a systemic allergic reaction. For all long layups (and to be careful, short ones as well) a carbon filter respirator has long been the recommended protection. Quote Marc J. Jon Matcho
It is time to invest in a carbon filter respirator then. Thanks Marc!
