Barry
The posts in this section are pretty old... Anyone use a sim to fly canards these days? Looking for advice.
Voidhawk9
I fly a Cozy in X-plane 11 all the time. It's not finished to 'release' standard, though. I should finish it sometime, just have to get a round tuit. Barry
Thanks Cam, looks like X-plane is the best product?
Voidhawk9
IMHO, yes. I've been using X-plane for over 15 years, most other sims feel 'wooden' in comparison - and you can design and fly almost anything in X-plane with the mathematical flight model. There are Long, Vari and Cozy models out there for X-plane, done by others. None have been updated for X-plane 11 yet, as far as I know. Barry
OK, thanks for the information. Reading the older comments X-plane looked to be the consensus, just hadn't been any updates for quite a while. Years ago I tried out MS flight but did not have anything other than mouse/keyboard which isn't all that great. I'll get X-plane and some hardware and give it a try. "Flying" a Cessna at this point would be a good start anyway It's been a long time, but the flight with Kent upped the bug a few levels... jridge
Barry - If you already have FSX or FSX Steam Edition, there's a Long EZ model by Virtavia out there. Don't know how it flies. It's a payware aircraft and is currently on sale at https://www.fspilotshop.com/virtavia-rutan-long-fsx-steam-main-package-p-5477.htmlfor $8.00. Sale ends 8/16. Voidhawk9
Here's some Ez's for X-plane. Built by a Vari owner / Cozy upgrader.
