  1. I have some plans for over center type latches for the canopy. I think I will try these. By over center I mean they will stay latched once pulled all the way. Has anyone else tried or seen these? I got the drawings from some one in Europe.
  2. How big an area do you have for a test area? Like can you go to PHK, No county or come down to see me at BCT? Or maybe you could get it to extend over to West End? John Perry
  3. I plan on flying the LEZ there. N77P The first two or three days.
  4. I Plan on going on the 13th/Tues. Flying LEZ N77P. Probably stay 2-3 days. John
  5. I have a good yellow tagged King NAV/COM KX-155 WITH Glide Slope and a KI-209 Indicator for sale for $1700. It is 28V and if you need a 14V ACS has a converter for $250. This came out of my hangar mates LEZ. I thought I would put it in my AeroCanard but now I hope to use a CNX-80. John Perry, Boca Raton, Fl 954 341 9086.
  6. I used a layer of heavy carbon fiber uni crosswise on the inside of my LEZ cowlings, made them stiff and light.
  7. Does anyone have the number or specs on a canopy opening gas spring?
  8. I'm building the AeroCanard. It has more room in the back seat, many good and convenient premolded parts that save a lot of time. It is well worth the money for me. Jeff really knows the airplane and the business but he has tired of the negative comments and has been persuing other projects right now. I still think parts and plans are availible. 9. What are folks using to attach CS-50's to control rods? SS cherry rivets?
  10. The wheel pants are sold, I think. I do have a brand new pair of 6.00x6 Air Hawk tires and tubes. I goofed (again!) The AeroCanard needs the 15-6.00x6. I'm cleaning out my garage and attic.
  11. It's 3 1/8" a quad gauge. How about $250? I paid a little over $400 and it hasn't been used. Call 954 341 9086. Leads are about 13' for a Long Ez.
  12. The pearl white requires a base coat/clear coat and the pearl or metallic is in the clear coat. This makes it difficult to repair. It's not worth it for me. I hear PPG is really good has anyone else used it recently? That's what I used on the LZ but that was 10 years ago.
  13. I used Landoll's alternator on my LZ but in reading AeroElectric Conn I thought maybe I would be better off using the LR-3 regulator but the B&C alts are pretty pricey so I hoped to put it on some other alternator. I think I'll take the B&C picture to the auto store and say I want one like that. It's probably a Nippondenso which is widely or wildly used, I think. I don't know though the old relay type regulators failed often but I have never seen one of the solid state ones fail in an over volt condition. John
  14. Two 6.00X6 AirHawk Tires and Tubes. Never used. Sell for over $160 in Trade-a-Plane. Will sell for $100 plus UPS. John
  15. I'm Building an AeroCanard with an IO-360. Anyone have a good idea for an alternator? I was thinking of using the B&C LR-3 volt regulator. It's gonna be IFR and some kind of EFIS. John
