    Lowe's carries a small roll around A/C unit. You can also get a combo A/C and Heat roll around.

    Don't forget to close up ALL air leaks to make the best use of the available heat. This idea of "light weight" gypsum radiant floor heat is way off base and not realistic for our application and needs. JEEZ,,,,.(unless you want to have something to taxi the runways with!)

    Talked to the reporter from the Ann Arbor News today. Her and a photographer will be her at 11:00 a.m. to document the chaos this saturday. Spent a few hours today removing wiring and heat supply runs from the area of "surgery". Placed tempory supports for the floor inplace. Been planing this since the beginning, May of 1998. This will be a peice of cake!! Most think I am out of my mind!!

    Hank. It's only an 8 hour drive for you to make it back here for the raising saturday!! This way, not only can you witness the event in person, you can participate!!!

    ME!! I don't think he is funny when he is posting insults infering that I am a homosexual. He is not funny, nor has he contributed ANY pertinent information in regards to building the Cozy aircraft. Trying to get any useful information from this forum has almost gotten to be pointless with all the garbage being posted. The stupid stuff should have its own category called "THE IDIOT DEPARTMENT". This way those who want to use the forum as a "chat room" have some where to go and not clutter up the forum. I relate it to trying to find a $20.00 bill I "may" have thrown out in the trash(posts), searching 20 garbage cans(subjects), and 100bags(threads). After a while searching, you get to the point where you just say to yourself that its not worth it!!

    Wish I had known that last month John. Last summer I came across a retired Ford engineer who designed fuel delivery systems. He always aquired one or two he had helped on when they went into production. He retired a couple years ago and was moving. He sold them to me at his garage sale dirt cheap. I auctioned the last three off last month on Ebay for $49.00 @. I had two for the 5.0 Mustang, a 65mm and the 75mm H.O. Brand new. Bolt on, plug in and go.

    I have reported him at least once for offensive and inapropriate posts. I find myself shecking this forum less and less as time goes on due to his posts. I too am irratated to say the least.

    Check with Nat directly for answers to your questions. I do know that the main gear Aerocanard was selling had some complaints of them spreading resulting with heavy tire wear, ect,,,. Not getting a response from them should be your first clue:rolleyes: I know Featherlite is an approved supplier and we have ordered several items from them and are VERY pleased with their products and service. Oh boy,,, is this going to open up some old wounds,,,,,,,,,,,,,When everyone gets back from SNF!!

    Thanks Marc. Thats what we figured but wanted some input first. I ordered extra so we will give it a try. If the standard tool does not work well, we will get the expensive tool.

    We are at the point of installing the hidden hinge brackets and hinges on the ailerons and rudders. We are using the CheeryMax rivets called out for in the plans. Aircraft Spruse says to install these with a G-27 handgun, which costs $173.00. Is there any reason we can not use a standard pop rivet tool for these?? Marblehead, or whoever you are, if you are going to tell me I will drop out of the sky using this tool instead of a G-27, please explain!! Thanks for the help guys.

    Hey Dust, You clear out some room in your shop for that thing yet???? I was thinking,,,,,,,hmmmm,,,,,maybe you can store it where you move out the table saw, or the lathe, or the big band saw you got,,wait,,I know!! You can put it where your shaper is!! They probably take up the same amount of space!! What do you think???

    LargePrime, Yes, I have noticed there is no factual data also, which is what I was looking for when I posed this question. Go figure? Just confirms my belief there are WAY too many people that don't know what they are talking about, yet pretend they do!!

    Dust forgot to add that though this individual is a retired G.M. engineer and is VERY familiar with the Auto turbo's, he was not familiar with the aero turbo's. He believed the areo's may be ceramic or made of a different material to handle the constant use at high altitudes airplanes fly at. He believes that they(aeros) operate at much higher temps. I for one would like a side by side comparison or technical data from Garrett, as they manufacture both.

    Yes. I was there also and saw this. The engine they are installing in the same Velocity now is the version they hope to put into production. They claim to have solved the problems that cropped up with the engine we saw at Osh '98. They claim to have made significant refinements. We will see.

    Most people ask me the same thing when they learn what I am building. I think most people think of the John Denver accident when the see or hear of canard aircraft.

    DeltaHawk just updated their web site on 03/09/03. They are now installing their first flight engine in the Velocity. It will be interesting if this engine actually goes into production. They have a lot invested in this to give up now.

    I thought that the Click Bonds were to attatch the hinge brackets instead of using the rivets, not to take place of the brackets. I could be wrong though. We are using the brackets for both rudder and ailerons.

    Tonight, 03/09/03, TLC Junk yard wars will have airplane building. They have 2 0r 3 days to build a flying plane inspected by the FAA. Its on at 8:00 p.m. here E.S.T. It might be interesting to watch.

    We have been busy fabricating the brackets for the hidden hinges for two planes. So far its going good but this is labor intensive and repetitive making enough for two planes. It will sure be worth it though when we get to filling and finishing, not to mention the clean slick looks these add to the planes along with the hidden bell horns for the rudders!! Thanks Jack!!

    The turbo compensates for the loss of air density as altitude increases thus maintaining h.p.
