Steve, weren't these matched for the Infinity Gear?

If so, they should be the same triple puck setup JD sold me for my Long-EZ with the Infinity retracts.

They would fit a Long-EZ?

I initially had the original Cleveland "heavy duty" brakes #30-133 on the Cozy.  Flew those for 7-8 years but they were just little inadequate for a Cozy IV.  I went to the Matcos similar to above and they have a lot more clamping torque and better energy absorption but they are harder to service and tend to drag when hot so it makes it a little harder to push the airplane around after landing.  They seem to take more power to taxi, too.   These Matcos are spec'ed at 337932 kinetic capacity and 6193 in-lb torque rating which is good for a Cozy but probably more than needed for an EZ.  http://www.matcomfg.com/catalog.html?prod_comp=4

I put my "heavy duty" Clevelands on the Long-EZ.  They are a good brake for the EZ.  Easier to service and don't drag.  I was not able to find the energy specs on the Clevelands offhand but I'd tend to go with a brake of similar energy and torque rating for an EZ.  Plus you can buy reconditioned calipers on ebay.

Just about any brake can be made to fit the EZ strut.  The Matcos will be heavier.

Steve,

I already have these for my Long-EZ and I replaced my brake system on the Velocity with new Matcos as the first step in the rehab of that plane.

If that was not the case ..... I'd jump all over this.

The worst time to be wishing for more stopping power is after you pass the numbers at the end of the runway. :D
