TMann
I would not. No sense in fighting that one until later on. If you are working solo most of the time, you could have a real bad day. When you get to the point of doing your finish work, you won't want to deal with it. schmeddz
your right, it was easy to roll with no engine. i can roll the engine stand off into the corner. It should be easy enough to roll around even with the engine. It depends on your space needs. It's nice to fit things on the engine mount if you're at that point. Be shure to put some batteries in the nose to balance it. 1000 AA's ought to do it! Ok ok,,, usually one car battery in the front under the instrument panel usually works with the wings OFF. The wings will tip the balance when they are on the airframe since they are behind the CG. It also affects balance to the rear with the canard off of the frame. Regular lycomings will stay put with one battery in front and no flying surfaces installed on the plane.
TMann
your right, it was easy to roll with no engine. i can roll the engine stand off into the corner. You know Steve. with your welding skills, you should be able to make a mock firewall/stand to bolt your engine mount to so you can have it mounted yet mobile. Add some casters and you'll be able to make the most of the space you have. I don't have my 20B yet. I've kicked it around and I think I'm going to go the Bruce T. route. Hopefully this winter. ........oh, and get the RD-1B. You'll be happy you did.
