The E-Racer is another Rutan Long EZ derivative with side-by-side seating. If you want to read about a superbly built machine with a supercharged Lycoming IO-540 then get a hold of the November 2003 issue of EAA Sport Aviation magazine (www.eaa.org).

Attached is a pic from the article. An unoffical E-Racer Web page can be found here: http://www.eracer.org/eracer.html

Looks great. Pretty colors are a worry. Susceptible to re-kitting on a hot day?

We were talking just last night about his DD cooling inlets and this RR flyby came up, and if I remember correctly, that pass was at 280+mph with 59 inchesMP and 2900RPM and a 5400FPM climbout from 50 feet, leveling off at 6000 feet. The engine guy told Jack it was developing about 450HP at that point.

Too bad the climbout wasnt recorded!

YOW.

Self confessed Wingnut.

Now think about it...wouldn't you rather LIVE your life, rather than watch someone else's, on Reality T.V.?

Get up off that couch!!! =)

Progress; Fuselage on all three, with outside and inside nearly complete. 8 inch extended nose. FHC done. Canard finished. ERacer wings done with blended winglets. IO540 starting rebuild. Mounting Spar. Starting strake ribs.

It was quite a rush standing under him when he went over at that speed. By the time I panned the camera around and found him to get his pull up, he was basically gone. At the time he was doing 240 knots and adding power as you can hear.

Best regards,
