John Slade Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 9/26 - 9/28. i.e. next weekend. By all accounts this is THE canard fly-in to be at. I've spoken to a number of canardians who plan to be there. Jerry (the tent) Schnider, Bulent (the scoop) Alieve, Jim (the door) Sower, The Cozy Girrrls, Myself (via NY) with Rich Hughes to name just a few. Unfortunately Marc (the pits) Zeitlin won't be able to make it. Looking forward to it. Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net

Richard Schubert Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 I'll be there with three other guys, from Pittsburgh. We plan to take turns driving, so the other three can, well.... Hope to meet you all there:D Richard Schubert Quote "We choose to do these things not because they are easy, but because they are hard." JFK
shender1 Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 I plan on attending and would like to know when the most of the group arrives. Does anyone Know? I am taking friday off but I have to wait for the wife to get off work at 3:00pm so I haven't decided whether to leave friday evening or saturday morning. I would like to meet as many builders as possible. I'll be borrowing a friends Tomahawk to make the trip from Columbus Ohio. Quote I'm not aware of too many things. I know what I know if you know what I mean.
John Slade Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 Rich and I should be arriving sometime Friday evening. I think Chrissi said she and Randi would be in on Friday also. I'm guessing thyat Friday evening will be fairly quiet as everyone recovers from travelling. If you can get in before dark on Friday I'd recommend that, but an early arrival Saturday morning arrival would work well also. >*SICKO!* Thank you, thank you, (bowing) I hope you'll be there MT, you're such a good straight guy for us comedians. Jerry Schneider Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 Hey John, Earlier you wrote: <<Jerry (the tent) Schnider, Bulent (the scoop) Alieve, Jim (the door) Sower, The Cozy Girrrls, Myself (via NY) with Rich Hughes to name just a few. John Slade Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 I don't know, Jerry. "The porch" would be a nice one. I'll leave it to others to pick what goes in my brackets. Could be almost anything. How about "The cool Cozy" Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net
Jerry Schneider Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 That wouldn't be bad. But let's shorten it to "The Cool". Quote "I run with scissors." Cozy MKIV N85TT Phase One Testing http://home.earthlink.net/~jerskip
John Slade Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 It could turn into "The Stranded". I got a voice message from Rich last night saying he'd found an oil leak in his Lycoming.... Better news today. He's replacing a couple of broken piston rings. We may still be in good shape for the trip. Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net
marbleturtle Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 DOH!!! Guess who has an anniversary this weekend!!! Guess who's wife does not think an air show is a great way of spending an anniversary weekend!!! @#%@#$@#!!! Quote This ain't rocket surgery!
John Slade Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 You obviously haven't explained how romantic camping by a river in a Kentucky State park can be. So what if there are 50+ canard airplanes and a bunch of airplane people there as well. Which are you, MT, man or mouse? Suprise her. Oh, that reminds me, I have an anniversary coming up too.... No. scratch that. The Sempember annivarsary was for the previous wife... the one who didnt like airplanes.... Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net
Jerry Schneider Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Hey People, Anybody out there lucky enough to have a Lodge reservation for this weekend, but unlucky enough to not be able to attend..... I'd be interested in assuming your reservation. Just lemme know... jerskip@earthlink.net Quote "I run with scissors." Cozy MKIV N85TT Phase One Testing http://home.earthlink.net/~jerskip
John Slade Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Rich and I have a 2 bedroom cabin booked. Each room has 2 beds. Jerry got a reservation, so there's room for two. Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net
John Slade Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 Scratch that. There's room for 4. Rich and I didnt make it. Next year I'll be there in my own plane. Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net
marbleturtle Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 Hey John... that means next year you can stop by and pick me up! My airport is on the way! Quote This ain't rocket surgery!
John Slade Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 Sure, MT. No problem. Just wait for me outside the 711 Nah. on second thoughts, that's not fair now that you're a Cozy builder. Depends where I'm living a year from now. Talk to me next September. Quote I can be reached on the "other" forum http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net
