nippaero
I am wanting to replace the long control cables for my throttle, carb heat and mixture. Anyone know a good source for them? I was coming up short on aircraft spruce.
Kent Ashton
Have a look at Google Images for "custom +bicycle control cables". Maybe something for a tandem bike. I presume you have the old Brock cables. Getting the length and barrel-size you want is the trick. You can buy the sheath in bulk. That and bare cables with barrels are sold on ebay. There are videos on making your own cables if you get desperate. Quote -KentCozy IV N13AM-750 hrs, Long-EZ-85 hrs and sold
nippaero
Yes, they are the bicycle cable type with the little barre connector that slips into the throttle quadrant. The longest one is about 103”.
Ron Springer
I used long bicycle cables but the barrel didn't quite slip into the Brock throttle quadrant. After some careful filing, I reduced the diameter so it fit.
