magnum
Hello all,I just picked up my project and it came with a brand new never used Dynafocal Engine Mount but I don't know if its a type 1 30 degree or a type 2 18 degree. Is there a way to determine this as I am not familiar with them. I looked for numbers etc but found nothing and the seller of the project can't remember. There was a tag on it at one time but as it was stored over the years, it has gone missing. Once I know what it is, it will be for sale to a good home as I am picking up my 20B rotary this coming week. Any input would be welcome. Thanks!~~~tg~~~ Quote "Time flys when your building"
Kent Ashton
It is probably a Type I mount. Very few engines used the type II. The poster, Mahlon R in this thread is a well-known engine guy in the RV crowd. Check his comment http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=65792 I believe you can put two dowels in the mount holes and estimate their crossing angle. If it is 60 deg, then it's a type I. I am just gong from memory. Never seen a Type I mount Quote -KentCozy IV N13AM-750 hrs, Long-EZ-85 hrs and sold
magnum
OK, thanks. This helps some. Since I am putting it up for sale, I wanted to give correct info to the potential buyer. Thanks ~~~tg~~~ Quote "Time flys when your building"
