wolf.
gentlemen, I aquired a turbmeca pallas jet engine (70kg engine weight and 160kg trust) which I plan to install in my Varieze. :DThe motor fits then engine compartment quite nicely, has enough trust, is a real aircraft engine (no modified apu or targetdrone engines), is actually lighter than a O-200, the only drawback is its substancial thirst (120L/h at cruise) No to my questions, how can I modify the varie to allow for higher speeds safely? I need extra fuel tanks, what's better 1 tank under the fuselage or 2 smaller ones underneath the starkes? Big Steve
I need extra fuel tanks, what's better 1 tank under the fuselage or 2 smaller ones underneath the starkes? I would say one big one in the back seat and your varieze becomes a single seater. With a fuel burn like that who can afford to have freinds fly along anyway???
