Jon Matcho
I was just informed of this plane today from www.avtekair.com. Tom Nalevanko
It has been sitting outside at KCMA, sans engines, collecting dust for the last 10 years or so... Not that exciting except as a bad example of aircraft design... Blue skies, Tom KCMA (homebuilding capital of the world LOL)
Tom Nalevanko
Maybe I was a bit harsh on the "bad example"; I retract that and say "possibly bad example. And thanks for pointing to the site; I did not know about this. Funny, this plane was parked next to the 747 wings that the lady in Malibu used for part of her house. If anyone wants some pictures of this in its "current" state, I will take some the next time I ride my bike at CMA.
Lynn Erickson
It has been sitting outside at KCMA, sans engines, collecting dust for the last 10 years or so... Not that exciting except as a bad example of aircraft design... Blue skies, Tom KCMA (homebuilding capital of the world LOL) It was there last June in all its Glory. had engine covers on that looked new but the landing gear strut machine surfaces were rustier then an old fence post. inside is basically striped. I understand it did not fly all that stable and in slow flight during a bank the canard stalled and did a big pitch down without warning. rpellicciotti
I remeber it was on an episode of Airwolf. The "Bad Guys" were flying it. Quote Rick Pellicciotti Belle Aire Aviation, Inc. http://www.belleaireaviation.com

Tom Nalevanko
That's it but the plane has been moved in the last few months to a position further east just south of the inactive part of runway 8. Near where the banner towplanes park and where planes are temporarily moved for our airshow in August. A more recent picture may show this. Jon Matcho
Here's a better view, but in the same location: http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCP&cp=pq1m17528yhf&style=b&lvl=2&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=11442440&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1 Quote Jon Matcho Builder & Canard Zone Admin Now: Rebuilding Quickie Tri-Q200 N479E Next: Resume building a Cozy Mark IV
Tom Nalevanko
Thanks Actually I meant to say that it is near the East end of the inactive portion of runway 26. Sorry; geographical disorientation, wasn't in a plane or on my bike.
