Lifessamsara Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Hi all, if anyone has knowledge of the Electromotive TEC II Engine Management System being used on a Lycoming, could you please send me a private message. Additionally, if anyone is aware of any connection between Electromotive and the Electroair Electronic Ignition system. Cheers, Bruce. Quote
Marc Zeitlin Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Additionally, if anyone is aware of any connection between Electromotive and the Electroair Electronic Ignition system.A quick glance at the two web pages: http://www.electromotive-inc.com/index.html and: http://www.electroair.net/ shows that the Jeff Rose Electroair system is exactly the same as the Electromotive XDI system with the two coil 33400 coil pak. It looks like the only thing that Electroair provides that's custom for aircraft engines is the crank or mag hole sensors. Quote Marc J. dirtdox Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 My neighbor has the elctromotive on a 900 honda engine that is installed in a drag rail. I have read through the manual and helped with the installation of the crank sensor. Looked to me like it can be installed on anything. His main issue now is getting the programming correct. Sorry, no info on actual Lycoming istallation. Quote
