refurbish VE goodies?

wolf.

Recommended Posts

Dear all just bought a varieze airframe, (actually someone else started the work, so no engine, the piant is stripped and the electrics are cut). Since I am allready refurbishing it what are the usefull (time proven) modifications I could work in (e.g. thought of a Long ez like roll trim).

Any suggestions are wellcomed

A quick search on "varieze mods" using the search tool at the top of the page yielded a bunch of results including these promising 3 threads:

You may have seen it already, but for those that haven't:

I write an article on how I did my electric roll trim that uses a small MAC servo. I've been using it over 10 years and 2600 hours, works great.

This same system would easily work on the VariEZ as well as a LongEZ

The article is posted on my web site. Scroll down to CONSTRUCTION (left side) and click on "ROLL TRIM".

Waiter thanks as usual a very informative reply (btw your site is great, help me a lot working on my long) but my question was if I might substitute that electric trailing edge trim of the VE with the spring system of the LE (I like KISS more the spring system works fine.

I like to know if there are other features from the LE which could be easily incorporated into the VE doing the Rehab??
