NWade Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Anyone have a good estimate as to how many gallons of epoxy go into the typical Long-EZ airframe? Also, anyone have any good estimates on how much cloth gets used in a Long-EZ airframe? I've got my TERF CD buried in boxes right now, so I can't look it up (and assume normal scrap amounts and occassional wastage from re-making a part, of course). Thanks a bunch! Take care, --Noel Quote

My guess is +- 5 Gals should be close for the fuselage. Does anyone remember approximately how much Epoxy actually went into the fuselage of their LE: Firewall to nose, including bulkheads and all misc. FG components? airwrench Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 15 gallons is what it is supposed to take if you don't have to "re-do" anything. I am sure there are those whom are satisfied with their initial work on everything, but if you bought 18 you would not be disappointed. Quote
Juan Rivera Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I would only buy at most two gallons at a time. That much goes a long way. If I bought all my epoxy at once I would of been using nine year old epoxy by the time I finished. Quote
