Jon Matcho
Here's an interesting link, showing a pilotless UAV: http://www.genaero.com/techprod.asp I hope this doesn't make us all obsolete. AP3_C
It's amazing what can be done. I had the oppertunity to get an up close and personal look at the Global Hawk UAV. The construction really looks like something that homebuilt aircraft builders and model aircraft builders have been doing for years, just on a bigger scale. Obviously this statement is an over simplification of it and the technology involved in the composite construction of the airframe is way beyond what could be achieved in the garage on the average joe's income. But all the same you take a walk around it and you start to notice little things that you would have done/do yourself in the construction of a full size or model aircraft. Steve Innova
Last week I had dinner with a former test pilot of the Long-EZ UAV. During it's initial testing stages, a test pilot flew the aircraft. The pilot was used to train the control system. Interesting conversation.
