Jon Matcho
looking for a comprehensive set of plans for berkut...This is what's published on the now-out-of-business Berkut Engineering Web site: Can I buy the plans and assembly manual for the Berkut separately, without purchasing the kit itself? The Berkut is not a plans-built airplane and the plans provided for assembly only and will not allow you to build the airplane. We will however sell the plans strictly for reference so you know what you will be building and assembling. The price of these plans is $500 and will be deducted from the C kit price should you decide to purchase the entire kit. The assembly manuals may not be purchased. The airplane cannot be built without the pre molded parts manufactured and supplied by us. Regarding the 2nd part of your question: ...also need +/- g factor ratings for wings...The g-ratings of most composite canards are well beyond the needs of recreational pilots -- something around +9/-6G. You'll need to wrap 200mph duct tape tight around your legs to experience 9G, but have no advice on how to experience -6G. Maybe a wood clamp pressed tight around your temples? ...and if kevlar would enhance this figure if added? If you have to ask, then the answer is "definitely NOT". If you're interested in how you might use glass/kevlar/carbon/foam in other places (I wouldn't touch the wing plans at all), you can check out this book.
