I am far from an expert on canard aircraft, but I thought that increasing the lift on the canard was a bad idea because it could allow the main wing to stall before the canard. Is this a common and safe mod?

What exactly do you think that would achieve? I did not say that they are “wrong” about your plane. I don’t even know what they would be “wrong” about.

Am I suppose to ask the FAA if an aircraft (identified by manufacturer and serial number) with damage history is considered to have damage history after a complete rebuild? Is that the question you asked? Right now, you are arguing that your aircraft has no damage history, it just had to be rebuilt completely… which is odd. Why would you “rebuild” an experimental when you could just “build” one and get a new serial number for it? This is just weird.

Be careful with CCF 3D printing. It’s not nearly as strong as real CF + epoxy. It’s much stronger than typical plastic 3D printing, but it’s not an alternative to molded carbon fiber. What I am planning to experiment with is 3D printing fiber glass and carbon fiber molds, but I don’t expect that to be a real alternative either.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I sent a list of questions to the seller and never heard back, and now there is a “sale pending” on it, so I guess it will be someone else’s problem soon.

This is less than an hour away from me. It's very tempting, but I know very little about these planes. What do you guys think?

That’s some nightmare fuel right there… I play around with the idea of building one of these from time to time, but I always worry that it will end up costing a lot and looking like that.

I am aware of those drawings, but I was hoping that someone created a 3D model. If not, I might have to give it a try. Thanks anyway!

Hello, Does anyone have a fairly accurate 3D CAD model of the cozy? It does not have to be perfect. I want to get a rough idea for the feasibility of some mods that I was thinking about, and I don't have access to a Cozy to take measurements.
