That's great information, thanks for the write-up.  I've been concerned that I wouldn't fit into one.  I'm 6'1 with long legs, but it sounds like there will be no problem.

You're welcome. Hard to believe it's been almost 2 years. I hoped I would find some way to repay Kent for the experience, but so far no luck :)

Call me if you need a hand with anything Kent!

  2. Aaron,

I have not built an EZ, Kent has lots of experience so he should get your attention.

However, I studied the plans pretty thoroughly a while back and thought I remembered something about the landing gear and CP updates. There are some...

CP 27 has a modification moving the holes in the extrusions.

CP 28 has a note about the BID plies being shown as 1 and should be 15

CP 30 has a note about the axle bolt location is not accurate, and a correction to the washers used

    Might be others as well...

  3. Regarding the adjustable pedal - It results in your foot at an extreme angle, assuming your heel stays in the same place. Maybe OK for the rudder operation, but for braking, your foot, and feel, works best when it is not at such an extreme. IMO, anyway, from racing cars were the brakes are moderately important. :)

  4. "So I know the cockpit is quite small. Is there any option to reduce the size of the instrument panel vertically, in order to allow more leg movement?"

"I have had a 6'-4" chap sit in mine..."

I'll guess I am Kent's chap  and would say the cockpit was actually quite roomy in my opinion. I am 6'4" and about 220. Plenty of room, just needed the pedals moved forward a bit. And if it were mine, I would increase the leg opening height just so I could move around a bit easier on long flights.
