  1. I'm using the West system and have had no problems with it. I do not do the large layups like Marc explained. I bought my main spar from Dennis and will do the same for the canard when I am ready for it. WIngs should be no problem. I like it because its easy to use and I can get it about 5 blocks from my house, always in stock and no shiiping hassles.

  2. Thanks,

The problem is getting them printed to the correct size. There is no Kinkos in my area. I tried a blueprint place here and they were lost for the most part. I'll look to see if I already have the file or not. I might have you print them out and send them to me. Let me know the cost. PM me

    Thanks

  3. Hello all,

I recieved my brand new spankin wing and winglet foam cores from Stephen James and they are beautiful!!!!!!! Cant wait to get started on them. I recommend him highly if anyone out there needs a set of cores ready to go! Dont have any pics as yet, but I will be adding some to my site as soon as I get started on them.

Also, since I am working from the terf CD and have no templates, I would like to borrow, beg, or buy / rent a set of Cozy wing jigs if anybody has a set they are done with. Please PM me and let me know what you have!!!

  4. I was planning on using the Koni coil overs like they use in race cars. Spring and gas shock are combined and are adjustable with the spring as well as extra mounting holes in the legs themselves. In the pic above, I wont use the wheel fairing. Do you have a contact for the ones you speak of?

  5. "Tom are you an engineer?

if not that's O.K. I support your efforts 110% either way. If you don't allready have it get the book Landing gear design for light aircraft BY: Ladislao Pazmany. I can't say enough about it."

No, I'm not but I have worked in racing for many years and have welding and fabrication experience from working in drag racing, worked my way to top fuel and also in Nascar for several years.

I am planning on retracts like in the picture with Koni Coil Overs if I can figure out the correct spring rates I need! Hint Hint!

    I'll attach a pic if I can

  6. I'm building an open EZ with some mods of my own. I have been on hold for family reasons for about 2 months and will fire back up full tilt boogie come March. I now have a new main spar from Dennis and new wing and winglet cores coming and am ordering a lot of the little stuff for all the stuff that needs to be done in the fuse.

I'm stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Ok, I'll jump in ! I just got a new job about six months back as a Florida state building inspector. Great job with all the bennies, and a free truck to drive to and from work. Very little physical labor. Bad side is and hour to and from work :irked: But it has allowed me to move forward with my building and getting parts. I just got my main spar from Dennis Oelmann, controls from CG products and will have my wing and winglet foam cores in a few weeks!!!!

    Ok, who's next????????

    Press on!
