  4. Good morning group.

I am putting my SQ2000 project back up for sale. I still have the 20B fresh engine, mount, and monitor also. I will separate it into two sales, one for the firewall forward and the fuselage kit with everything that goes with it. I also have engine mounts for the 20B and a Lycoming.

You can see it all on my Facebook page with the sub page SQ2000 on the left side. PM me for details (Not on here a lot) and what I will consider. I may deliver it for the right deal and location from 28025.

    Thanks

  5.        Anybody have any contact info for Andreas Montgomery? I sent an e mail to him and it bounced. It was working not too long ago and the phone number I found is also bad.
I am trying to get some prints and parts he has for my SQ2000, so any help would be appreciated and PM me anything private.
    Thanks everyone.

  6. Thanks Andrew,

I am thinking a lot like you. I just want to try to find stuff as much as I can for now. I have seen these parts for sale in the past and it all depends on how bad someone needs to sell the their project as to what they will let go and for how much.

I still have some time till I can get my current project done and get the bird set up in the shop to get started on it.

     Thanks

     Thanks

  8.       Heads up, starting tomorow, the 5th, the project will be up for auction with a reserve on Ebay for 5 days.
The complete instrument panel will also be up for a separate auction with a reserve on Ebay for 5 days.
The 20B is also for sale and it is separate and now on consignment in Fl.

Private PM's only please as I am not on here much.

    Thanks

  9. Morning all,

I just wanted to give this thread a bump to see if there is anyone interested in my project. I am going to be moving to a new shop soon and I would much rather sell it off than to have to move it again. If you have an interest, get in touch. I will work with you on the price a little and may be able to deliver it for gas if you are reasonably close to me. Let's deal.

     Thanks

  10. Thanks, it breaks my heart but it is what it is. I've had one neck surgery for disc replacement and 4 lower back operations. None of the back surgeries stopped the sciatica pain. I wish I had never let them cut on me as it was a big mistake and nothing I can do about it now.

  11. Tools are 80% of the battle in anything you do. The right tools can keep your momentum going on a project where as if you don't have what you need, it can frustrate you to the point of quitting. Check Craigslist as there are a lot of people selling stuff all the time. Check the price against new as sometimes you get burnt! Good luck with your build!

  12. Morning guys!

The only way you are going to get anything built is to commit and clear out a place in the garage or a room in the house and start doing it. Even if you just spend an hour a day you will make progress and it will motivate you.

Don't get caught up in letting things hold you back like needing a drawing or similar. Its on the net someplace, get it and get started. You won't be sorry and you will be building something you can be proud of.

If you want a project that's someone has already started, (best way to go IMO), then do your homework and find one and get started on it.

There is a wealth of people on here as well as other sites and you won't be lacking for help or info of any kind.

Get out the and build it!!!!!!

  13. Welcome! You need to look in all the normal places such as all the forums and get in touch with Beagle as he keeps a running list of canards that's for sale as well as parts etc. Google is you friend.

Let us know what your plans and price range is as many lurk here and may have stuff or even a whole project they are thinking to sell.

  14. "Good luck with your move.   Consider living somewhere convenient to the Rowan County Airport (KRUQ).  It's a good airport for canards and for homebuilders in general.  Concord Regional (KJQF) will not allow you to do ANY work in a hangar and does not welcome homebuilders.  Lake Norman and Gold Hill airports are residential airports.  There is lots of homebuilder activity at Lake Norman and it is long enough for canards but the houses are pricey."

Thanks for the info and heads up. Funny that my project is sitting in China Grove, about 30 mins from there. I hope to find a place in Kannapolis or close by as thats where I used to live.

I had been looking there in Landis but I have a friend that has a shop there and the city of Landis re sells the electric and he told me that if he does nothing all month long, his electric bill will be a minimum of $400.00!!!!

So, when I get there, I will have to hit the ground running so to speak till I can find a good place big enough to have some room to work and a place to park a motorhome also later on.

I'll keep posting as I go along!

  15.    Mornin!  Yep, lots more ways to get into trouble!     LOL    I think I am finally going to get to move. I got an offer on the house this weekend and signed the paperwork.

So, tentatively I have to be out by the 13th of next month and that means I will be moving to N.C. and start looking for a shop and a place to live. Can't wait to start playing with my toys again and a nice shop with some room in it to work!

  16. Yep, I agree. There is not much going on for sure. There are some posts on Facebook and a guy just posted up a Vari Viggen he has and it really looks sharp!. I have always like that design.

Keep us posted on the naca. I am probably going to go with a P 51 for mine. Been building info on it for a while.

  17. OK, it seems that its usable for most Lycomings from what I can tell. I am not familiar with them. So, its brand new and has never been mounted and its $800.00 plus shipping. Cozy girls list theirs for $1200.00 so this would be a good savings for someone in process of their build. It was ordered for an SQ2000 so it should be compatible with any canard project.

     PM me here if interested.

     Thanks
