    0360 torque

Does anybody know how much torque an 0360 at 2500 rpm? Thanks John
  3. Hi Dan, oops, wrong forum, anyhow regarding the Owner Maintenance Catagory this is what they say word for word. ("This means that you cannot: Change the engine so that it is powered by an engine that is not a single normally aspirated piston engine. This means no turbochargers and no turoprops, turbofans or turbojets, etc.") Basically they had to set some ground rules to stop guys from turning a 172 into a six place and powering it by turbojet engines. I agree with setting ground rules, most likely keep a few people alive but eliminating turbochargers, somebody has their head stuck in the sand. Just a few that are in the Owner-Maintenance Category. MOONEY M20B CESSNA 120, 140, 140A, 150*, 150F, 150G, 170, 170A, 170B, 172*, 175A, 177 MAULE M 4, M 4 T Some of these aircraft will perform very well with an automotive conversion. John
  4. At 6000 RPM, is it possible to get 200hp, I ask this because I'm putting a Rotary engine on a production aircraft and Transport Canada won't let me use the Turbo. I'm using a 91 Turbo engine. Thanks John

Does anybody know the firewall forward weight of an I-360 with constant speed prop? Thanks John
  7. Hi all, A homemade moving is strickly for VFR purposes only, just a navigation aid. I live up in northern Manitoba, Canada, where there are few roads and lots of lake and rivers, how nice it would be to just look on the map on the panel and say "I over such and such lake", a great tool in crappy weather. There is some great software out for doing this. It's even better in the USA, you can buy digital maps where as in Canada, I will have to scan mine. John
  8. John, have you checked out this site? You could buy any size screen you like. http://www.f1-rocketboy.com/EFIS.html
  9. Hi All, I have this gyro for sale on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2404475316&category=26436 If it dosen't sell, I will let it go for $1500.00, anything less, I might as well keep it. John Willis
  10. Hi All There has been a change of plans,I've chosen to build a BearHawk. Below is part of an email I sent to the BearHawk news group as to why. Okay, here’s the scoop, I was going to build a cozy MK4 but have decided to build the Bearhawk instead. There are a number of reasons, not enough room in the back seat, using a Mazda Rotary (want to be able to land on floats or skis in case of engine out), cost of trying to heat the garage when it’s -40 degrees.(live way up in northern Manitoba}, the lack of a qualified inspector for Composite construction,(there is an engineer that lives up here that has built 10 rag and tube aircraft of his own design, He will inspect it for a beer and a hamburger, you can’t beat that) and last but not least,it would cost $1800.00 just to get an inspector up here to inspect a composite aircraft! So, I have some stuff to sell, below is what I have with the price I'm asking in USA funds and buyer pays shipping. Infinity Retracts with indicators $4200.00 firm - These are sold. MK4 plans 454 for $300.00, hidden bellhorn plans included. MATCO wheels, brakes and master cylinders - will have to check the price on these. Sold There will be other stuff going for sale on Ebay. Still have to dig through my stuff and see what else there is. John Willis email jwillis@mts.net
  11. Hi All, Does anyone know what Greg Ritchers fuel burn is at cruise, he said he would post the numbers but now that he's installing a turbine, he may not have the time.
