Q2 for sale

Recommended Posts

I have a Q2 project for sale, that a friend has abandon.  It was a completed aircraft.  Hobbs meter had 4 hours on it when he bought it.  It never flew.  Apparently the wood prop developed a hairline crack in the tip. He started to change a few things, to his liking and it has never moved since.  I have all the build logs from the original builder.  It has the big Rev master engine, the original wood prop plus a new flexpitch prop from Prince Propeller.  Danon auto pilot servos were being installed.  Plus a lot of materials for the interior and hardware with storage bins.  Would like to get $7000, but would entertain any offers.

It has been awhile since I have been on.  All the flying aircraft are out of the hangars.  This Quickie 2 is the only aircraft left.  It needs to go or get destroyed.  The Prince prop and Danon servos are new.  i'm willing to entertain any offers.  I need to get it out of the hangar so the hangars can be sold.  My other option is to destroy the airframe and put the engine and prop on a boat.  I don't want to do that, but it could be an interesting project.

What is the diameter of the Prince prop? Pitch?

I don't think that would be a good option for an airboat... don't they have specialized small-diameter props with rather large chords/widths?

I am at work for until next Thursday.  I will get you that information when I get back to the hangar next week.  I sure there are specs. for an airboat prop.  I was thinking small engine and prop maybe a 12-14 ft john boat or a go cart frame could be fun.

Hi there! I’m from Canada, up in Whistler BC. Congrats on the sale! If your buyer ever reached out to you again with sellish feelings, I’d love a chance to chat with them.

cheers,
