Skip Talbot
Just wanted to say hi. I'm a 26 year old software developer from the Chicago area. My dad, Buzz Talbot, built a Long-EZ (N112TG) back in 1980, and I have fond memories flying to Oshkosh and Rough River in it. I've finally got the time and money to pursue an aviation hobby of my own. I've got 40 hours toward my private and am scheduled to do my first solo cross country tomorrow morning. The Long-EZ has been sitting idle in the hangar for a few years now, and needs an engine overhaul. I was hoping to help fix it up with my dad and fly it once I get my certificate. Anyway, this looks like a good place to get some pro tips. I'll be reading up until I'm more into fixing and flying the EZ. RGlos
Hey Skip I know your dad. We built our planes about the same time in the eighties. Didn't know that the plane has not been used in the last few years. How is your Dad. Has he retired from the PD yet? Say hello for me. Skip Talbot
Hey Rick, Dad is doing well. He retired from the police department a few years ago, but he still teaches drug abuse recognition to teachers, employers, and law enforcement, which keeps him pretty busy. I'll say hi.
