rlapelle
Does anyone know exactly how the main landing gear was made? ie: the materials? The number of wraps in the lay up. Curing method? Need to make a gear for a different plane. Slightly different EZ.
michaelj
As I recall it is S-Glass, roving glass in a mold. Of course that is the raw unidirectional bow. There are torsional wraps and attach points added by the builder. If you are contemplating designing your own there are engineering principals involved. In other words , don't guess, do the math.
