  1. Does anyone know exactly how the main landing gear was made? ie: the materials? The number of wraps in the lay up. Curing method? Need to make a gear for a different plane. Slightly different EZ.
  2. Gentlemen, You all need to accept that any aircraft design is a series of compromises. The question of efficiency is dependent on attitude and airspeed of the aircraft in the airstream. The value changes as attitude and airspeed changes because the airstreams change their positions as the conditions of flight change. There is not any right or worng answer that always applys. I suggest you take a look at it for your answers.
