My son wants to go into your field but he's like a kid in a candy store right now not knowing what graphics, software or which college to apply. As far as your decision making on building, I suggest you speak with Dave (Beagle) Orr. I didn't buy any plane parts through him but he gave me a great deal of insight and information. He has no problem discussing things on the phone as well. I'd say when I first thought of building he gave me staight forward real life information about support, cost, timing, family interference/support, etc. He's very neutral about the topic with all the reality.
