Hank Stauffenberg
I too am interested in an estimated feet of cable needed for a fully equiped Cozy! I think I can get this cable direct wholesale for abour 6 cents a foot. Got a cable guy working this for me now. I asked for 500 feet, which he felt it would be no problem. I'll let you know what falls out. I was his slave as well. Sometimes it pays to be a slave! Last of templates from Chapter 4 will be in the mail once I get back home. First week Oct, so be on the lookout!
mplafleur
I'm hoping to get the RG142 for free! It looks like I need to make a road trip to Toronto. Quote Mike LaFLeur - Cozy MkIV #1155N68ML
dust
I don't know how many feet, we estimated and don't know how much we used. We did make one silly little mistake which will cost us an extra connector and that is not leaving one of the wires coming from a main wing long enough to make it to the center of the spar. keep em long builders, easy to cut them off later. Enjoy the build Quote maker wood dust and shavings - foam and fiberglass dust and one day a cozy will pop out, enjoying the build i can be reached at http://www.canardcommunity.com/
mplafleur
I'll need some estimate. 10 ft? 250 ft? Don't make fun of me, I know 10 ft is ridiculous. Quote Mike LaFLeur - Cozy MkIV #1155N68ML
John Slade
I got 100 and ran out because I made a mistake and had to scrap two wing length wires. I'd guess at 150ft to be sure. rmaddy
I bought 100 feet as well and have one antenna left to go. I think I will need another 25 feet. The extra will be needed for runs within the fuselage from the wing juncture. 150 feet is probably a good estimate. Hank Stauffenberg
Well my cable guy did not come through. So I guest I'll have to take Dust's advise and pay! Thanks for the feedback on estimated feet needed for the Cozy. I think I over estimated "a little". Will recalc and save the bucks for other toys. rmaddy
Just go down to Radio Shack and buy 150 feet of RG-58. No special orders required. They have online (at radioshack.com) for $0.23 per foot. Mine has solid copper center and typical braided shield. Easy to work with and solder.
