These are questions that plane builders hear and hear and hear and my answer is I DON'T CARE. WHEN ALL OF THE PARTS ARE BUILT TO MY SATISFACTION. for 5 years we have met, the 3 to 6 of us, from 8 to 5 on saturdays. we work from 9:30 to 5:00 or so, and built airplanes. at noon we have a gourmet lunch and at 2:00 a break. We are the turtles in the airplane building hobby. We don't rush or work hard, we just don't stop. To us airplane building is fun. If you can imagine not doing what you did every saturday for the last five years and having a garage FULL of plane parts that you built from scratch instead, then go for it, if not, go spend 30,000 on cesna rentals. In the beginning people thought we were nuts, now some wish they had started.
