The plate thickness I used is .1 inch. The layups are per the build manual and A5 template. Plates are under the bolt heads. Our build page is on Face Book under Zieglers long eze. Give me a week or two and I will upload some pictures from different angles. This is of course my interpretation of the existing scheme.

Shipping costs can be higher than the materials you are ordering. One has to be strategic and use your community. On my most recent order I could have gotten next day air from one vendor for what the other wanted to charge for ground. Procuring materials and parts is largest hinderance to making progress. Plan ahead. If you work in parallel that helps, ie work on hardware in between layups.

So the hardware is pretty much the same as the Cozy. On Marc’s webpage are the Cozy M drawings which have scale marks and are basically 1 to 1 prints.
Yes the Roncz is same as on the Cozy except for the length. I believe the template outlines are also in this package. -
What’s the worst that could happen? You have two aircraft. 😜

If you are trying to make parts from the work instructions just use them as a print. The open eze package has everything needed to build a fine aircraft.

Boomerang! Saw it up close. That is the machine.

Freight is only worth it if you buy all the materials for the build at once. Ups or fedex should be cheaper for ordering a chapter or two at a time. Order the wood in 8 foot sections and scarf the longerons to get the length you need.

A major consideration for building one of these aircraft is the performance vs cost. Prefabricated parts will be expensive. if I’m spending six figures I’d rather have two aircraft to show for it.

Type in H 250 foam availability in the search for the substitution.

Thanks Marc, doesn’t get any easier than that. On inside cosmetics, it still has to be good enough so one doesn’t stay up nights obsessing about it. Lol. Peel ply is my friend.

Here is my dilemma, I had a small slip with the multitool trimming the canard cutout on the fuselage. My issue is if i do the standard repair of one inch per layer, i will end up grinding way out into the good stuff, as this is in the corner where the f22 reinforcement layup is. See pics. Second opinions are appreciated.

I do test stand wiring for a living so I second the idea of removing the old wiring and starting fresh. It will probably take No more time and you will have the piece of mind of a robust electrical system. Not to mention will know every aspect of it while you create the schematic.

Keep checking the lodge, there have been cancelations.

CP 25, page 5. For the spacing. CPs are just as important as the plans. I read and reread prior to every chapter build.

See CP 26 page 3 for confidence in the alternate material and save hassle and money.

You actually have more control with the vibratory tool then the razor blade. Since it does all the work very little pressure is required. You can use your other hand as a guide to control the depth. As an added bonus, no possibility of slicing the dickens out of yourself.

Can’t imagine building without this tool!

Correct me if I am wrong, but micro slurry foam to glass interfaces only, and not glass to glass.

You could add a swingarm mechanism to the existing pedal assembly, or if your ambitious fab some new delux ones.

Heard it as it happened on the tower freq. Good idea to install the warning system. High excitement coming into Oshkosh, easy to forget something.

The news from Aerosport isn't good. I can't wait for many months for the possibility they might run some more struts if they get enough orders.
So let me get this straight! They are going to wait till there is enough interest. That's not how it works. Both you and I will just look for alternatives, as the build must go on without delay. If it was me I would stay up nights to cast a half dozen or so struts. We are building both so I have a raw LEZ NG strut just in case you want some dimensions prior to deciding which route you you will take.
