Phil Kriley
I must be blind, but I cannot find in the plans how to affix the lead to the inboard sides of the elevator control arms. I used a countersink on the holes in the arms, then drilled through the lead and bolted them on with AN bolts and stop nuts. Is this sufficient? BTW - I did a search of the archives and on this site but didn't find that anyone else had this question... Quote Phil Kriley Cozy #1460 Chapter 13 - nose Right wing done - working on right winglet. Cozy Girrrl
Thats fine, the countersink is not really needed (removes lead ) I have had people mention they have moved the lead away from the tube C/L as far as 1/2" to help with elevator balance. ...Chrissi Quote CG Products www.CozyGirrrl.com Cozy Mk-IV RG 13B Turbo

The AN bolts I happened to have were Phillips head countersunk heads. I have the proper countersink, so they sit real nice in the hole, and I tightened the stop-nuts so that they actually sank into the lead. Drilling the holes in the lead was a learning experience! Clamps are your friends! Lead is soft, but surprisingly difficult to drill because it grabs the bit. Quote Phil Kriley Cozy #1460 Chapter 13 - nose Right wing done - working on right winglet.
