Waiter Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Velocity Dreamer; My LongEZ is a standard Plans built, with an O-320. The fuselage width is per plans. I did beef up the longerons and engine extrusions to accomidate the O-320. I also layed in extra layers of BID tape in all the spar caps (canard, centerspar, and wings), mainly to fill the troughs, not for extra structure. I licesensed my Gross weight at 1,650. When I finish my Retrofit, I will relicense my new gross weight to 2,000 lbs.
