egsavage
Hello everyone. My name is Ed, I'm a student pilot, and I'd like to one day build my own canard aircraft. Current thought is building a Cozy MkIV, but feel free to convince me of a different type of plane. ;-) Glad to be part of this community! --Ed Quote --Ed Savage Cozy Mark IV #1032
dpaton
Ed, this is the Canard Zone, and with the Cozy IV the most popular canard design to be built (since Long and Vari plans are very hard to find, Berkut is closed up, Aerocad is a Cozy clone, and KLS is gone) these days, unless you have mission objectives that are outside the capabilities of the Cozy, I don't think anyone here will try and change your mind Welcome! -dave Quote This is not a sig. Jon Matcho
Ed, Welcome! The Cozy Mark IV is a fine choice. If you have extra dollars, you can add some parts from www.aerocad.com if you see fit to speed your build. If you have a lot of extra dollars, give it to www.velocityaircraft.com. Otherwise, as Dave said, the Cozy Mark IV plans route is a great choice for a 4-place canard.
