Jim Jernigan
Hello- I'm a newbie to this forum, a long time pilot, actively looking for a Long-EZ or CozyIII. I am looking at a Long-EZ with many fine characteristics but which has a standard canard. This aircraft is basic IFR which I need for my cross country application, and the owner has roughed up the canard leading edge to negate the downward pitch in rain. Is this an effective remedy? Thanks, Jim

Is this an effective remedy? It's one of many. Vortex generators are another. If it works, then the answer is yes, and there are numerous folks who have done the same. Quote Marc J. Juan Rivera
You won't know untill you fly it in the rain or through some clouds. I ended up building a Ronc canard for mine after a bad experience in the rain with mine. Juan
