Friend of mine that has a Long is looking for an outlet that would supply pipes to construct an exhaust for a 0-235 L2C. Any info would be welcome.

I have made exhausts out of "seconds", i.e., stainless bends that have a slight wrinkling and don't meet perfection.  They are considerably cheaper than pristine bends.  Do a google search for "stainless header bends".  Many of the header suppliers will show second-quality bends at reduced prices and they will work just fine.

Here's an example of the rewards of a cheap exhaust system.

Besides cheaping out on the exhaust, the builder also cheaped out on the firewall.

This breach practically burned through the firewall.

As always, Tmann is for throwing more money at the problem to win what, Oshkosh Grand Champion?  Suit yourself but many of us would like to just fly without spending a lot of dough.  If you could show any evidence that a Grade-B exhaust bend is any less reliable than the Grade-A item, maybe your statement would mean something.  In fact, the preparation, welding, maintenance, and age of an exhaust is likely more important than the perfection of the tubing used.  The difference is largely cosmetic.

BurnsStainless, for example,  has some bends now at a 50% discount to Grade-A bends and always at a 15% discount.  I'm flying with them.   I'm flying.

Only thing I'm looking for is reliability.

Don't take it personal.
