Replied on another thread of yours but will comment here. Yes, that seems to be the going price for these because of the upgrade to the LS1 airfoil change and the tube carbon fiber spar. The other mods are easier to implement.

When I had my Q2 kit (which I sadly sold) they were really helpful at Revmaster and upgrading was a reasonable cost.

Alright, now that your curiosity is piqued,  the I-beam straightedges are indeed damaged. Bent on one end. Kinda defeats the purpose of a straightedge. No biggie. The instrument panel is marked as damaged but it is just a scratch. Certainly an issue if being bought as new but used not an issue at all.

Those of you with good memories or curiousity or both (or neither) should be aware that there is a prior post on this forum. I did buy it, it's in good shape but I no longer have the job I had and need to sell. Unfortunately.

The complete list of parts is notated in the pictures but to whet your appetite here are the main parts: The complete molded PVC/vacuum bagged composite fuselage shell top and bottom halves with epoxy primer outer coat. Yum. Two premolded match drilled with bolt hole bushings main spars. Oh, just shoot me already and send it to me!!! But wait, there's more... The delectable curved lines of the foam core for the wings are already CNC cut with level lines in place. Wow, I'm getting woozy... things just aren't seeming level right now.

I tell you what. Why don't you just drool over the pictures right now (don't mind the little bit of dust - it just adds a little flavor) and then just send me your money. $4000 for nirvana. And hey, I might even negotiate with you a little. That way we can both tell our Missus' that we made a great deal!!

The Yahoo groups Q-List is probably the most active group. There's also a Q-Performance group on Yahoo but that's mainly for those that use non-authorized engines. Where did you get yours? "Fast little Airplanes"? It looks nice.

Andrew, thanks for the encouragement. I've been around homebuilts a good while but could never really afford to build one (other than an ultralight). It seems like this one is really coming together. I have sold my Q2 kit without even posting it on a for sale list and the delivery is exactly on my way to Portland. And about 3 days ago I was hired at a job, that combined with my other self employed job (with a good steady income) I really will have the income stream to build this kit. And my wife is really excited about the Cozy as opposed to the Q2. She wants to be able to take some baggage when we go see our future grandkids. And maybe have space to steal one or two of them for a while.

Andrew, I talked to Merrill and he was pleasantly negotiable on the price. So sometime in July this crazy old man is making a 5000 mile round trip with his son to go pick up some foam and molded parts. There's even a slight possibility that I may be delivering my Q2 kit to someone on the way before I pick up the Aerocanard. I've never been to Portland so we plan on making it a vacation and stop in Yellowstone for a few days on the way back. Never been to Yellowstone either.

By the pictures it looks like the foam is in good shape.

I'm assuming by that comment it's meant that if the foam is damaged it can be easily removed. When I first read it I thought you meant that the foam needed to be removed for some reason.
