  1. <Step in here Marc or anyone, if I'm out in left field>

If you mean using the GU spar cap on a roncz canard then NO, the lay-up schedule and the materials are different.

The roncz uses 3" uni tape like the wing spar caps, while the GU uses the standard uni off a 38" roll and is layed up using a folding process during the lay-up.

BTW the GU templates are already in the A1-14 Drawings for the Open-EZ...

  2. My long has the standard panel, the Open-EZ I'm building has the 7° slant your referring to. until I get the fuse tubbed up and am able to sit in it and see for myself then I guess I'll see if it's worth the trouble.

Those I've talked to say it makes the panel present a little better, if you can make a mock up and try it out and see what suits you best, I really don't think the slant vs. the standard would really make a big difference once your flying, some say it does...

  3. John,

It's a RIP of the original, and I am by no means a technical writer...

I'll send you a copy of what I have so far if you'd like, though it is not updated by CP-30 and above yet.

It was basically for my own use (and I must have been extremely bored), tailored for my airplane and I thought I'd put it out there for others to use...

I finally found a suitable long-ez project, though about 20 hrs away from me, I go to pick it and the 0320 thats included along with all the included goodies in 3-4 weeks.

Just thought I'd chime in and say HI!

    Take Care!
