atfloyd Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Does anyone have good ideas for venting of the cockpit. I have my air inlrts but am looking for a good exit vent. I thought about using a reverse naca vent placed in the hell hole, that way all of the air would circulate out from the bottom of the cockpit instead of over the GIB. Thanks in advance Quote
Wayne Hicks Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 A NACA scoop in reverse doesn't suck air out any better than a round hole. A reverse NACA does not create the low pressure for sucking out air like a forward NACA does in sucking air in. What does work is a somewhat square hole with a small plate 90 degrees to the air flow on the front of the hole. The plate trips the airflow and causes suction over the hole.
