  1. Additional deciding factor, for those of us having exhaust pipe ends inside the cowl, how much of a clearance do we need in-between these pipe ends and the trailing edge of the cowling?.. 🤔

I took measurements at three Long-EZ's here on the field, here are the numbers:

    • Plane 1: Prop-to-cowling: 5.50"; pipe-to-cowling: 1.50".
    • Plane 2: Prop-to-cowling: 5.75"; pipe-to-cowling: 1.00".
    • Plane 3: Prop-to-cowling: 3.00"; pipe-to-cowling: 3.00".

  2. I'm installing the cowling on my Long-EZ here, and need to cut the trailing edge to size.

What would the most recent recommendations be, how much of a clearance do I want in-between the cowls and the prop?.. 🤔

  3. Looking for someone willing to give me transition training in a canard, shouldn't take too long I guess 🤞

We have a flying Long EZ we can use here in the field at KLVK (Livermore CA), or alternatively I am willing to travel anywhere in the country.

    PM me please.

  4. I need a set of Dynafocal "sandwich" style rubber engine mounts for a Long-EZ with E2D Lycoming O-320. The existing ones are worn and unusable, markings unreadable.

Spruce lists "50402-5 ASSY" as "used on many homebuilts including the Defiant and Long-EZ":

VIP Mounts website indicates "VIP 50402-5" are similar to "Lord J-7402-16" and "Barry 94150-01".

Is "VIP 50402-5" the right choice?
