I went and looked at this Varieze. It is nice plane. Seemed like a turnkey bird. The plane is Day VFR only, but seems like it is already prewired to add lights to make it night capable.
I’m 6’7” and I had a bit of trouble initially getting in, but was able to... I’d still need to rework the pedals by moving some things. I’m proportional, but it was a little tight at the hips. Could be addressed with some mods.
If I were shorter, I would have most likely made an offer on this Varieze.
I went with the LongEZ built by Steve Harmon which still requires a little work with moving the pedals to fit me but seems like a much larger cockpit fit with its long nose and O-320 motor.
