It appears to me, based on the photo that it would have been for a Corvair.
What is the N number on the EZ so we can look up on the regristry.
I have been looking into the possibility of put a Corvair on my EZ.
Any body out there in Canard Land have any data on a Corvair installation?

Have a Dynon 10A EFIS and wouldn't trade it for anything.....best thing since sliced bread. I wouldn't trade my B&C lightweight starter either. ;-)
Has any one out there in Canard Land installed a 2-axis Dynon autopilot?
If so ...how is it performing? Did you install the AP74 autopilot interface module? Where and how did you install the pitch servo?

I changed out a broken Narco with an external intercom with a Icom IC-A200 with its internal intercom - less wiring and far more features. Did add two switches to the control strick for frquency changes (nine in memory) and active/stand-by. Totally satified with the IC-A200 system. Good Bang for the Buck

I built and flew a Vari-Eze for 12 years equipped with an 0-200 engine - no starter.
Have built an Vari-Long-EZ equipped with an 0-200 - electric starter (good stuff). Orginally had a Sky-Tec starter which lasted about 50 starts. Installed a light-weight, high quality B & C starter (best thing since sliced bread)

I second that recommendation - B&C starter. You get what you pay for with the B&C starter - Light weight, High Quality and Reliability.
Don't ask me about my experince with a Sky-Tec Starter.

With the fuselage of a Vari-Eze and the fuel tanks and wings of a Long-Eze - Miss EZ has three fuel tanks: Left and Right are Long-Eze with fuel sump and fuselage (header) tank of a Vari-Eze. Do not use the fuselage tank it is aft of the CG. Have a four position fuel selector: off, left, right, header. Some day when I have Miss EZ down for extensive maintenance/modification will take out the header tank and change to a three position fuel selector valve.

I have been flying a 0-200 equipped Long-Eze since November 2004. The 0-200 is turning a Great American prop 56/68. Static rpm is 2400 and max rpm is 2750. Fuel system is configured like the Vari-Eze - no fuel pump and fuel selector valve is located forward of the firewall at the lowest point. Fuel flow check as required by the plans is more that required. I have had no fuel system problems - do I recommend this fuel system to others, NO.
I know my EZ is not the fastest in the sky but it is fun and economical. Getting about 28-30 miles per gallon on 100LL (do not and will not use auto fuel) and still can blow the doors off a lot of that production stuff.

DYnon versus MGL

I have the Dynon EFIS 10A and it has performed flawless. Wouldn't trade it for another brand.
You don't want to hear about my experience with MGL on their E-1 engine monitor. Oil pressure, oil temperature, EGT, CHT worked fine after many messages to MGL.
RPM indication, it would fluctuate 60 to 100 at best - won't put it on my lawn mower or my neighbor's garden tractor. At present the E-1 is in their shop.
