The kid's enthusiasm is clearly oozing from every poor .... one dad to (presumed) another, I think I spot a bit of "humor the old man" ...

Then you really need to hire a consultant. Forum is just that, a forum for exchange of ideas. It also appears from some of your posts you're not too interested in the answers. A couple of the rock stars here, who really know what they're doing and have actually DONE it, have chimed in and provided you with feedback on this and your Zoche thread ... If it were me, I'd listen, but that's just me...I am looking for direct answers to some of my questions.

I sooooooo thought we were done with this .... <sigh/>

Awww, come on Marc ... you know it's all about the noise!

Hate to say it, but a) grass field issue beat to death, just search the forum for some samples, and b) the articles you do find will tell you if you want to fly off grass, you don't want a Cozy/Long/Berkut/Canardy lookin' thing. There are far better air frames if grass flying is a high priority (think RV-x ... 10, I guess, if you want 4 seats).

Job? You don't need no stinkin' job ... just keep building (and posting pix, of course). That way we can live through you vicariously and keep our jobsI just wish I had more time to build

I must say all tided up as you've done she's starting to look like her ole bad ass self again instead of a forlorn, abused project. Keep up the great work (and pix!)

Don't you just hate that fizzy nasal feeling?Dr. Pepper out the nostrils again

See, this is weird for me ... I've never flown an hour without a parachute ... and most hours with ejection seat strapped to caboose. I cannot imagine flying w/out (!), although Marc's comments make tons of sense (no surprise) in a GA world ...
I tend to think that "modding for safety" is a contradiction in terms ... kind of like "naval intelligence".

Is that retracts on an RV-8? How / who did that!
-
Welcome to the light, sir!

See, I'm thinking something bad from about someone from "the other" forum .... I must restrain self ... must contain self ... the horror.

I suspect Chrissi's approach is much faster too ... what's the phrase? "Controlled flight into terrain". Much more difficult to get flying again ... I think I prefer Tony's "hard work" method. Keep it up, I'm jealous.Usually the last words you hear before a guy unbuilds his kit is:
"Hey guys, watch this"

No doubt powered by InnoDyne ...

Oh, pretty!

As I recall (and not sure where I got this, so "consider the source"), the builder of that twin was ultimately unsatisfied w/ performance and it became a single again ... not many (if any) more knots, lots more gas.
-
In my minds eyeWhere do you build?
-
Jeez, I guess I am oblivious to popular culture ...
-
Not to be too terribly cynical, but how about a picture of it flying? There's not a picture on entire site (other than bad computer renderings) of "discovery" in flight.
-
Be very safe. We want you back.

Pretty much thinking all is not well if winglets are moving in the other direction ....The winglets only make thrust when they're moving forward
Nice article, thank you!
