My Long Ez always has one blade with some exhause residue. Does anyone know the correct method of clocking so that BOTH blades are out ouf the exhaust pulses? I have done it the same way for years and the engine most always stops with the prop at 10 and 4 so I thought I had it right.
Thanks in advance,

Thanks Lynn.
I'm headed for the hangar in a few and will look for the telltales. While flying in rain, I see water droplets forming and swirling between max chord and the elevator cut out. The airfoil is pretty much a straight line there and fairly flat without much contour. I didn't build this plane and I don't have the templates but do have the original plans.
If I can get some templates I could make a contour guage and fill the low areas wich micro?

The pitch down is excessive and in moderate rain can't be trimmed out. Heavy rain may be a real problem. I always turn away from the heavier stuff so I'm not sure how it will perform if I get caught. I added VG's and it helped some but is still questionable.
I hope to gain pitch stability.

Thanks for the news guys. I emailed and called RAF with no response and I was going to send a check for the canard and flush rudder belhorn planss to see if the order was filled or the check was sent back.
If you have a set that is complete and legible, I would sure like to have a copy. Speaking of copy, is there a copyright still in effect?

I've been flying Gary Hertzler's Silver Bullet for 4 years and some 700 hours and love it. Gary flys a Veri and knows his stuff. Recommend him highly and he can probably help you alot. hertzler@yahoo.com
Corvair Engine in Varieze

Perry Mick in Oregon built a Long Ez with a Masda engine and orginally a ducted fan. He removed the fan and now his performance is similar to my Long with Lycoming O-320 power. There was also a guy flying a KR-2 out of Flabob (RIR) with a 6 cylinder Corvair and called it his little P-51. I don't know if he is still flying it though.
Personally, after 40 years of flying, I stick with certified aircraft engines. Look through the NTSB accident reports for engine failures and you will see that it is a major contributor to crashes.
My two cents.
