That is a very good point. For a while I was thinking of building a BearHawk, but it seems that composite construction can be a little more forgiving.
(Really really thinking of starting an Open-EZ)
Maybe we could come up with a composite Bearhawk?

I would like to buy one as well...

wish I'd taken it to Jackpot when I had it in the USA to show what the 360 can do.
Did you fly your 360 LongEZ accross the Pacific?!!!

I understand that Burt has no issues with copying the Canard Pusher Newsletters and POHs. HOWEVER, the Canard Pusher Newsletters on the TERF CD contain a substantial value-add in that they're text-searchable. This represents a substantial amount of work on TERF's part, and I would be disappointed to ever find TERF's versions of the Canard Pusher Newsletters available for download without TERF's permission. If "raw" scans of the Canard Pusher Newsletters were to become available that were not text-searchable, that's a different story.
There is such a thing as OCR (optical character recognition). If some one had hard copies of any of this old information and scanned it in using OCR it would be very easy (there would be some busy work involved in formating etc) to create text searchable information and format it either as pdf files or hyper-text. This would also facilitate dare I say it... "updating" the plans or "changing" them.

If the sale falls through please contact me. I have family in the area I need to visit anyway.

...a penny for your thoughts.
I have downloaded all the files. I have printed the PDFs and checked the Axis on each. They are all correct. I still need to get the Turf CD.
I have a large family. I wanted to build a Cozy MK IV but it won't hold my family. MY GIB is actually a FIB (family in back), and the GIB says she won't fly in a plane I built until I have proven I can do so safely. So I am thinking of building the OpenEZ while I examine the stretched and lengthened cozies to design and build my MK VII.
One further question... if this is a project, something dissassociated from the original EZ design, why can we not then update the PDF plans with all the newsletters etc, update the drawings some, and post the OpenEZ pdf plans bundled with the drawings? This would eliminated the need to consult newsletters and make the complete plan available and "Open" thus truly ensuring new airplanes continue to be built. If we can provide the drawings we have then the hidden bell horns, the Roncz canard, the larger rudders, everything should be able to be included. In other words... If we can have one part "Open" the whole thing should be able to be.
Here's a thought. Maybe even put them in forum format on the web. People can then upload pictures, movies, tips, and tricks, right to the forum for each chapter of the build. Now that would be cool.
I am willing to contribute to the work. I am willing to reformat and update the content if someone sends me the pdf files for the EZ plans. I am well equiped to do so. Feel free to contact me privately outside of these postings, you can do so using the member list.
Ciao for now!

Jon Matcho is heading up the organization of the drawings. I send him modified Long Ez drawings as I finish them.
Tony,
I downloaded your work from ez.org (very nice by the way). Where are you guys posting what you have done recently?

The idea is to make scale drawings of the most popular mods being done to these 3 versions and maybe come up with a whole new bird.
I am completely on board. I understood about the Long EZ templates but until your last couple of posts I didn't realize that you were also talking about modified cozy templates.
This is very, very cool.

...Just have the different types of drawings for Long Ez, Cozy and maybe the Berkut...
You guys know there are dxf and pdf files of the Cozy MKIV bulkheads, the canard, and the wings posted on the Cozybuilders website right?

I printed the DXF files at Kinkos and it was great. but apparently not every Kinkos is so well equiped. So! at this point, all I can do is finish these last drawings and let someone smarter than me figure out how everyone can use them.
Tony
Perhaps post both the DXF files and the pdf files? I can use DXF.
