Finally arrived yesterday.
All I can say - order early....
-
Just want to ask what are your experiences with RST Engineering?
The reason is I placed order with them more than 3 weeks ago and so far nothing. The lady I talked to took all my card info etc.. and said it would ship in couple of days. About 10 days after my order, since I didn't receive anything, I called couple times and finally left a message. Received no reply. Couple days later tried calling again - got the voice mail again.... decided to send email message... now it is another week and more messages later...and nothing.
Anybody got any ideas?????

It was for sure added recently - which I agree is a good sign that they are working on the Cozy section of their web site to make it more user friendly. The list still shows the same errors though. I should go through the rest of the chapters and compare them to the plans BOM and see if there are more problems.

Here is the list.

I was able after 2 phone calls and an email to receive breakdown list from AS&S of what is in each chapter (see attached file). I placed just this week an order for ch4 - ch7. It looks like each chapter has one item on back order and she didn't know when they will get it. So I will have to wait and see when it ships. I'll keep checking. I'll try to make some fixtures in meantime....
I was pleased to read that Rui had good experience and everything was correct in his order because after placing my order I was comparing the AS&S list to the plans BOM and found few errors in AS&S list for ch5. Emailed this concern to AS&S couple days ago and so far didn't hear from them. Maybe they don't use this list to actually assemble the kit shipments. Maybe Jim I. can look into these errors.

Thanks all!
I am planing to use natural gas, last weekend did the black pipe to bring it out from my house to the attached garage. Right now I am stuffing insulation above the ceiling. I was looking at the garage heaters that are available locally at Home Depot and Menards. It seem these are all unvented - that is what prompted my question - but they are lightweight and easy to install at the floor level. Also got recomendation from heating guy to get Hot Dawg made by Modine. He was recomending the 6oK BTU unit for my 3 car garage. This unit has intake from inside but is vented to the outside. The unit is 80 pounds so it would be a instalation chalenge to hang it from the ceiling. Like always, everything has pros and cons....Decisions,decisions.....

Thanks John for the link and your reply.
BTW You have a nice web site. Did a lot of reading over there.

Hi all,
Just starting out to set up area for the building process which will be in my garage. In my are I will have to heat this space. Most of the garage heaters available at Home Depot etc. are the unvented type. My question is if anyone knows if MGS epoxy is outgassing anything and if so, if it is flamable. Is there any danger with using this type of heater during the process?
Thx!

Blind Screws
in Chapter 4

Thanks Dave!
I think they should stay put. I also washed the screws in acetone to get all the oils of them and the epoxy would adhere better.
